Tips to a Boss on how to Demotivate an Employee and reduce his/her productivity

  1. Hire him/her but do not define his work scope/role/responsibilities
  2. Allot him/her a project but fail to regularly monitor its progress
  3. Put a lot of responsibilities on him/her but give him/her no power to make decisions
  4. Remain absent from work for long periods of time to pursue your own interests and in the process ignore the organisation
  5. Talk of big things but do nothing
  6. Do not cultivate work culture or define work discipline
  7. Talk of raise but never give it
  8. Do not have regular unbiased appraisals
